Who We Are
CPR for Life, LLC is owned and operated by Robert Gordon and
Claudia Amaya to promote the effectiveness of prompt and
effective care of critically ill persons.
Mission Statement
The mission of CPR for Life is to provide instruction and guidance under
the curriculum established by American Heart Association (AHA) for
resuscitative and trauma care. In doing so, we will help to build healthier
lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.
CPR for Life believes that all people are capable of saving the life of
another person. We promise to make every effort possible so that all
students truly learn the skills that are introduced in our course(s).
About Robert Gordon
Robert began teaching CPR approximately 15 years ago as a volunteer for
America Red Cross where he was recognized as a volunteer of the year.
He later became certified through the AHA by the United States Army to
teach soldiers. Robert has taught CPR and First Aid to the staff at medical
offices, youth activities counselors and everything in between. Robert is a
Firefighter for the city of Houston and a Paramedic as certified by the
National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians. He currently serves
as a Sergeant with the Texas Army National Guard as a Combat Medic with
prior experience as an Intelligence Analyst of 5th Special Forces Group
(Airborne).
About Claudia Amaya
Claudia began teaching CPR at Sanford Brown Institute where she served
on the staff teaching medical assistants. After teaching for more than five
years, she left Sanford Brown to pursue her Bachelors of Science but
continued teaching CPR for the Texas Army National Guard. Claudia
graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Respiratory Care, licensed by the
state of Texas as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and is employed at The
Methodist Hospital in Houston.
Robert and Claudia were affiliated with the Military Training Network in 2008 and 2009 as Program Director and Site Director to facilitate training of soldiers on Cardiac and Trauma Life Support.
