CPR Training Services We Offer
CPR for Life Courses:
CPR for Family and Friends
This course teaches individuals the skills of CPR and relief from choking.
It presents information about the American Heart Association’s adult
Chain of Survival, signs of a heart attack, cardiac arrest, stroke and
choking in adults. The course also provides the latest information on
pediatric/infant/child Chain of Survival such as signs of choking in
infants/children, how to reduce risk of sudden infant death syndrome
(SIDS), and prevention of the most common fatal injuries for both infants
and children.
HeartSaver CPR and First Aid
This course provides the skills to effectively assess and maintain life from
the critical minutes immediately following an emergency until the arrival of
emergency medical services personnel for adults and pediatric patients.
HeartSaver CPR and AED (Automated External Defibrillator)
The HeartSaver course teaches the lay person to recognize and treat life
threatening emergencies for adult, infant and child. This includes choking
for all ages, recognizing a heart attack, stroke and breathing difficulties.
BLS for Healthcare Providers
This course is designed for health care providers such as EMT personnel,
respiratory therapist, nurses, doctors, physician assistants, dentist and
others requiring a credentialed card.
The course consist of adult and pediatric CPR, the use of a bag mask, the
use of an AED (automated external defibrillator), Foreign body
obstruction for the conscious and unconscious patient, as well as
scenarios.
BLS for Healthcare Providers Renewal Course
This course is designed for health care providers stated above that have
already had the healthcare provider course and just need a renewal card.
This course includes a written exam and a skills evaluation.
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
This course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or
participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of hospital.
Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their skills in the
treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary
emergencies. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR
to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with
advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance
of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.
